In its most basic sense, the mission of Oahe Habitat for Humanity is to provide affordable, decent housing in the Pierre-Fort Pierre area.
Another important function is to bring the community together to work on a project with the simple goal of helping a deserving family realize the dream of home ownership.

As an all-volunteer organization, we occasionally have office hours from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, and we would also be happy to set up a time to visit with you.
Oahe Habitat for Humanity 2009 homeowner is Kim Fiddler. She has a 10-year old daughter whose nickname is Bacon, a 15-year old daughter, Julia, and a 12-year old daughter, April. Kim was raised on a reservation in South Dakota and left the state in her late teens. She moved back to South Dakota in 2003 and works in Pierre as a Medical Technician at St. Mary's Healthcare Center - Maryhouse. Kim enjoys spending time outdoors with her daughters hunting, fishing, and camping. She stays true to her Native American heritage by participating in Pow-Wows across the state where her daughters dance.
